Prof. Al Amro worked for many years as chief of the Eye section in KAUH, as head of Retina - Vitreous division, and as a consultant surgeon in Ophthalmology Department, College of Medicine, King Saud University. He was a Collaborative Medical Staff at KKESH. He has been selected as best teacher in Ophthalmology Residency Program for many years. He is Specialized in Vitreoretinal diseases and Surgery, Cataract and Phaco emulsification , Intralase, Laser refractive surgery, and phakic and secondary IOLs implantation. He presented many talks in national and international conferences. He is a member in the national committee for control of blindness in KSA. He was trained in retinal transplantation in St. Louis, MO, USA. He is a member of SOS, AAO, ARVO and EVER.
